This four week Mindfulness introduction course takes you on a journey to discover how you can live your life more fully, in the present moment. Mindfulness, simply put, is the practice of paying attention to the present moment, on purpose, with compassion. During this introduction course you will receive a tool kit of Mindfulness practices and techniques that will allow you to cope better with stress and to make conscious choices that will improve and enhance every aspect of your life. You will discover what it is like to "wake up", to calm the mind, understand your thoughts and emotions and take control of your life.
During this Introduction course, we’ll discuss, explore and practice Mindfulness techniques to help you stay focused on the present moment which will help you to reduce stress. You will be encouraged to practice at home to experience the physical and emotional benefits of Mindfulness meditation.
The course includes:
· 4 classes of 1 hour and 15 minutes
· Guided Mindfulness meditation recordings
· Weekly handouts and notes
Mindfulness is not a therapy, but information will be provided about mental health issues as well.
This course will set a foundation for a deep understanding of Mindfulness practices and techniques. This is the ideal starting point for you to de-stress, learn a new skill with support from a group and an experienced facilitator. You don’t need to have any experience with Mindfulness to start this course.
